BEHIND THAT TRUE FACE

Behind That True Face

Serena was running technically faster than the speeding bullet to the arcade where she's trying to get her mind off of things. She was reading her test paper, crying AND running at the same time, when she went smack-dabby dab into some one or something. Oh please, let not this be that jerk Darien, she thought. I've had enough for today.

And sure enough, her worst fear had come true. It WAS Darien, alright, and he was definitely annoyed.

"Hey, watch where you're going, meatball-head!" he cried. "Can't you run anywhere without smacking or falling into some trouble!"

Serena lifted her head from Darien's shirt and looked up into his baby-ocean blue eyes. She was still crying. When Darien looked into her eyes, he was shocked into silence. Already, he regretted that he yelled at her. Oh no, what have I done? How can I hurt her like this? he thought. Although she does look REALLY cute like this...she looks beautiful all the time, but THIS is starting to scare me.

"Hey--sorry, meatball head," apologized Darien. "I didn't mean to yell at you."

Serena still raged, "Just leave me alone, Darien! I don't have any time for you! So get lost, you jerk!" She shoved him aside and ran away as quickly as possible.

Now he really was down and and angry, but he didn't want to hurt her again. He ran after her, and caught her wrist just on time.

"Whoa, Serena, I said I was sorry," calmed Darien.

Serena desperately tried to loosen up on his grip. She finally stopped as he brought her closer to him.

"Look," sobbed Serena. "I'm sorry. It--it's not your fault. I have to go." She sped off to the arcade.

"Wait, why are you crying? Was it me?" Darien cried.

"No! Of course not! It's me, OK!" she responded before speeding off. "I'm just a stupid, whiny, crybaby, klutzy meatball-head, OK! My teachers, my friends, and above all, YOU hate me! Satisfied! I'll just do you a favor, and I'll disappear from you for good! I'm no good at anything, or even worth living!"

When Darien heard what she just said about her bad traits and saying that she wasn't worth living, it REALLY scared him. You're not THAT bad, Serena! Please, don't think about suicide! You ARE worth living; at least for me! he raged.

"Serena! Do you realize what you're even saying! You ARE worth living!" he cried. "I don't get it--you just run into me, and you're raging your hormones off at me!"

"Well, that's my point! I can't do anything right!" she screamed.

This really hurt him to hear her say that. He secretly had always like her; love even. The only way he could hide his feelings was through teasing. But now, it seemed that it has gone too far. She was perfect to him; beautiful, caring, and enlightening. She was what made his life worth living, and now she was going to...

"You ARE worth living, Serena! To me! Stop thinking about it; don't think about it," he begged.

Serena stopped crying and looked at him, shocked. "Why would I be worth living to you? You've always hated me!"

"Maybe sometimes you act like a klutz, but chill out! What made you so jumpy today!" he interrogated.

She handed him the test paper. F.

"There's your proof," she responded. "Raye above all people hate me, and you two make a perfect set! You both hate me!"

Now, he couldn't hold it any longer. "Well, Serena, if you keep acting this way, maybe you will be looked down upon!"

She spun around and charged off.

Oh no, I've done it again! Please, I'm sorry, Serena! I didn't mean it! Please, don't do what you just said! he pleaded in his heart.

When she got to the arcade, she saw that her four Scouts friends (note: there are four Scouts here, but I changed it that they never found out that their past or future, or any of their other identities. And Darien's shoulder wound was healed really quickly from when Venus joined the Scouts, with some help of Sailormoon and medical treatment. The Sailorscouts in heroine forms don't really play any part in this fanfic sequel; this is just a typical civilian story.) were there, talking and playing the Sailor V video game. She didn't want to talk to any of them; she just wanted to ask for help from Andrew and that's it. Well, cross that. Maybe she just wants to be alone.

"Hey, Serena!" called out Amy. She waved, but Serena just ignored her and went to one of the unseen seats of the arcade and sat down.

"Huh, that's weird," replied Amy. "I was sure that Serena had heard me. Why didn't she come over as usual?"

"Lightning Serena strikes again!" responded Raye, irritated.

"Hey, cool it Raye," warned Mina, "what's with you?"

Raye looked ashamed. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be that way to Serena. I should go over to talk to her."

Lita looked at her in surprise. "Uh, are you sure you're Raye Hino, that same one whose the guardian of Mars, and who almost always fights with Serena?"

Raye snorted, "Hey, I can care about Serena as anyone else, you know! And I do!" She whirled off. When she found Serena, she sat down next to her.

"Are you OK, Serena?" she asked.

Serena turned her tear-stained face to Raye and answered, "Why should you care?"

Raye was hurt, but she responded, surprisingly gentle, "I do, Serena; deep down I do. Now, what's wrong?"

Serena glanced at her friend and felt better when she said that. "I'd tell you, but Darien the Conceited Jerk has my proof."

Lita and the other girls just arrived to hear that.

"What proof?" fumed Lita, starting to get angry. She clenched and pounded her fists together and started to kick air. "If he's done something to you, I swear, he'll never make it to the next hour through me!"

Serena giggled and replied, "Don't worry, it wasn't THAT bad. I just got an F on my test today, and thanks to 'Miss Mars' over here, I can feel like a pile of worthless moon dust!"

Raye cried, "Well, if you studied harder, you wouldn't have gotten this!"

"Well if you'd just loosen up from your aftershave, I wouldn't have this problem right now!" shouted Serena.

"Girls, stop it!" cried Luna from Amy's arms. Artemis joined in with the action. "Yeah, try to solve this like 'civilian' people do for once!"

Serena and Raye calmed down instantly.

"Sorry, Raye," apologized Serena.

"I'm really sorry Serena," said Raye. Her face for once looked full of longing.

Serena smiled and hugged her friend for a split second.

"Thanks, Raye."

Darien unconsciously walked into the arcade; not to meet Andrew, but to apologize to Serena (hmm, that's a first!). He soon found her cluttered around her friends, chatting almost as happily as ever. He strolled over.

"Hi, Serena," he called out.

Serena spun around and saw him. She was in shock.

"Hey, Raye," he greeted. Raye instantly blushed. "Hi, Darien."

"Did I hear you right, Darien? Did you actually call me by my real name?" Serena questioned.

Darien answered, "Yes, unless you you prefer the other one."

Serena stuck out her tongue. He laughed.

"Actually, I need to talk to you for a moment," he requested.

"For what? You made it perfectly clear of what you just said earlier!" she cried, feeling tears starting to build up her eyes again. She's not going to let the tears out again.

"I know, but I just need to talk to you," he begged. Out the corner of his eye, he was horrified at the way Lita was glaring at him, with her fists in fighting stance. Man, he thought, Lita -- to me -- no matter how attractive, can sure scare the heck out of ya' with her karate skills. Boy, from her, looks could definitely kill!

Serena thought for a moment and answered, "Oh, alright." She stood up and started to follow him out.

Raye was instantly jealous. When Serena and Darien left, she remarked to her friends, "What the heck is she doing with him?"

"Hey, calm down, Raye," replied Lita. "Don't be jealous. You know how much those tow despise each other. What would Serena want him anyways?"

Raye nodded, "Yeah right. Whatever. But, I guess you're right, Lita. What would she want with him anyways?"

* * *

When they were both outside, Darien started talking, "Look Serena, I'm really sorry for acting the way I did earlier. I didn't know that you were having a bad day."

Serena perked up and had a weird smile on her face. "Wait a minute, are you, Darien Chiba, actually apologizing to me?" she asked. She broke her weird smile into her remarkable ones.

Darien nodded sheepishly. "I know you hate me, but I just want to say I'm sorry. Do you accept me apologies?"

Serena blushed and answered, "Yeah, alright. I forgive you. But Darien, why would you want to anyways? Wouldn't you like it when you saw me miserable?"

Darien responded, "At some times, but not always." He smiled.

Serena nodded and smiled. She turned around to go back to the arcade, all fluttery inside.

"Oh, I forgot," she whirled. "Darien, as much as I sometimes hate you, thanks for everything."

"For what?" he asked. He sure was puzzled. This wasn't the meatball-head Serena he used to know.

"About telling me that I was worth living," she smiled. "Why am I worthy to you?"

Darien blushed, "I don't know, but I have my reasons."

She nodded and went back into the arcade. Darien was still blushing, but he thought, huh; Serena can be really something when you look inside of her. Maybe she's not as bad as I thought. He turned and went off in his separate way.

* * *

When Darien came home to his apartment later on that day (from the university), he was a bit frustrated.

"Man, there's one of those era theme actors/actresses and -- whatever parties in two days, and I don't know any girl who goes to the university in any way to go with for a date, or even as a friend!" he cried. "The only person I know is -- oh no, don't even go there, Darien, no. The only person is -- meatball-head! Serena! She goes there for sports and home economics, and I bet she'll find out." He tossed his jacket on the rack. "Should -- I ask her? She'll might laugh her head off if I do, but I'm desperate." He thought again, "Hm, I can also do my newspaper article section that night also. Serena probably will find out about this thing anyways. I can ask her to help, but why would she? Yeah, she probably already has a date. Yeah I've seen it; every Valentine's and Birthday, she's showered with presents, and a lot of them from boys. Am I jealous? She'll probably attract enough guys for that party to make another party!"

He paced around his apartment, trying to think. Who does he know from the university to go with him? BESIDES Serena? He was certainly confused.

"Well, I guess it wouldn't really hurt to go alone," he said. "Again."

* * *

Serena came home later that day, also thinking, "Should I even bother go to this era theme party was so ever? I can always drop that idea and hang with my friends, but hey! It's a party, and I almost never miss one! Okay, but who do I know fairly well to go with? Darien the Conceited Jerk is the prime person, but who would go with him? Unless I'm THAT desperate."

She pulled open her closet door and peered inside. "What can I wear to this? This takes place in a fraternity house; more like a dorm or way suited hotel. And the theme this year is being an actor/actress or well-known celebrity of the 1950's and 60's. I'm certainly not going to be an actor, but I can be an actress! Or model, singer, stripper...whatever. Who can I be...to draw attention to? Someone beautiful, talented... ah ha! I know who! I'll be perfect for her! Marilyn Monroe! Yeah, she was a definite star, and I have the hair and stuff. Let's see what the girls will think about this!" She rushed over to call her friends to me her at the mall in several minutes.

* * *

All of the Scouts showed up in time. Everyone was a bit surprised that Serena was early, but no matter. Amy of course brought a book with her to keep herself occupied. Everyone else just brought some money and themselves.

"Hey, guys!" greeted Serena when everyone was there.

"Hi! So what's with this emergency meeting, girl?" questioned Mina.

Serena was too excited to speak.

"Well, what gives Meatball Head!" cried Raye.

Serena just spoke, "You all know about that 50's party at the university that I've been raving about? Well, I just found the greatest costume and person to be for the party!"

"Who is it?" asked Amy and Lita all at once.

Serena continued, "What do you think about...Marilyn Monroe!"

"Whoa, way cool girlfriend!" answered Mina. "You've certainly got the looks to be her!"

"Yeah, you have the body, the eyes, the hair and the rest of the package!" remarked Lita. Her eyes were shimmering.

"Yeah, but all you need now is the outfit," pointed out Amy.

"Yeah, and that's why I brought you here! So you guys can help me pick out an outfit for me!" cried Serena. She looked around. "Where should we go first?"

Mina pointed, "Hey, over there! That store specializes in celebrity costumes and clothes, so they'll probably have somethings for you."

Everyone nodded in agreement and went off. They all search throughout the store for anything Marilyn Monroe, and they had plenty of luck.

After a while of searching and deciding, all of the girls came up with several possibilities. Amy handed a white ruffled dress to Serena and replied, "Here, Serena. This would look really great on you. This was when Marilyn played in one of her first movies 'Seven Years Itch', I think."

Serena examined it for a few seconds and answered, "I'll take that into the fitting room to try on."

Lita was next. She handed Serena an emerald green outfit with huge slits up the legs and neck/breastline. There weren't any sleeves either.

"This would look really cool on you, Serena," replied Lita. "It should fit your body pretty snugly."

Raye handed Serena a red slit-leg dress that seems to look like a stripper outfit. Serena was really surprised at what her friend had handed to her.

"This is my favorite outfit that I saw Marilyn Monroe wear," presumed Raye, "Like Lita said, she's like a stripper in this with no sleeves and the neckline all the way down. I think she wore this in another movie she was in, playing a really fiery character."

Before anyone could say or do anything more, Serena asked, "Uh, OK; I'm starting to notice a pattern here. Most of Marilyn Monroe's clothes are like extra-foxy and alluring. I mean, don't you notice that a lot of the guys in this store staring at us with these clothes?"

Mina said, "Correction Serena; they're all staring at you. You're the one who has the clothes modeling for you, and you are attracting a lot of attention." Before Serena could answer, Mina handed something really lingerie-like. "Here, try this on. This should get some whistles going." She smirked as Serena playfully snatched that outfit away from her. She screeched, "Hey, Mina! This is the most -- foxiest thing -- I've ever seen in my entire life! Do you all expect me to wear this? Out in front of college guys in a fraternity-like house? You've got to be nuts!"

Mina shook her head. "Well, you said you wanted something really attractive and alluring, so here you are! Or would you rather stick with slit-dresses?"

Serena took the outfits and walked to one of the dressing rooms. "I'll let you know what I decide when I come out."
"Hey, Meatball Head! Model your fashions out here when you put on each one! That way, we could also critique, you know!" cried Raye.

"Sure Raye. It'll be fun; having a little fashion show," responded Serena. She nodded and went off. In no time, she was out with the white ruffled dress.

"It's too wide and fluttery," commented Lita.

Then, she came out with the green dress.

"Hmm, you do look like Marilyn Monroe in that dress! Cool!" remarked Amy.

"Maybe you should put that in the maybe pile," suggested Mina. "Come on, let's get on with the show!"

Serena laughed and once again went off to change. Next, she came out with Raye's suggestion of the red slit-leg dress.

"Hey, you guys, this is just about a perfect fit! It hugs right against my skin really well, but something's just not right," explained Serena, examining herself.

"Maybe something doesn't quite feel too good," replied Raye. "Does your chest width fit OK? Is the movement of the legs wide enough for you?"

"No, the legs are perfectly find," answered Serena. She checked herself again. "Ah, I know. It's my chest line! My chest is a little too small to maintain fit in this outfit. Well, that eliminates this outfit. Now, all that's left to try on is this white thing that Mina suggested." She went into the dressing room again and about 3 minutes later, she came out with she shear see-through robe over her.

"This looks too much like it's for sleeping in! It's more like PJ's to me," shrieked the meatball head. "But you have to say, it's my favorite so far. It fits almost perfectly. Maybe we can get another one relative to this to try on."

She went back in to change, and then came back out with her normal clothes and the costumes in her arms. "I guess I won't be needing these. Sorry guys, your suggestions were all great, but I'm afraid these don't suit me too well." She smiled as her friends smiled back. They all help put them back in the racks, and continued to search for another suggestion.

Finally, Serena found her perfect one. "Hey you guys, I found it! This is perfect for me!"

Everyone went to her and they all decided that was the one. Serena modeled in it and came back out.

"Hey girl, you look like a stunning white fox!" complimented Lita.

"You're sure going to attract a lot of guys!" remarked Mina.

It was remarkable. It was really similar to Mina's first suggestion, but it was a bit different. It was shaped like a very white one piece swimsuit with individual cups for the breasts (no cushion/foam), and the neck/breastline all the way almost exposing them. Practically, the whole "swimsuit" was made out of a white, silky polyester form of fabric. At the neck/breastline, there was a very thin lining-strap of lace (there was another right at the bottom of the individual cups of the breast. The individual cups were connected together from the bottom of the breasts all the way down to the navel with an immodest piece of lace. The bottom of the lingerie-like piece was perfectly shaped for Serena; as it's shaped like a swimsuit, the lines were shaped precisely to show off Serena's beautiful, long legs. There were immodest knee-highs that reach one-third ways up each her thighs. The shoes weren't too strappy but were very high-heeled. Included, there was a similar shear immodest robe that covers just below the butt. White circular earrings were provided, too, as well as a pair of little bows for the hair. To top it off, there was a big, plain white bow at the back of her "swimsuit" outfit.

"Wow, Serena!" complimented Raye. "I'd say, this is the one!"

"Yeah, go for it, girl!" cried Mina.

"Yeah!" answered Lita and Amy at the same time.

Serena nodded in happiness. "Yes! All done! Now, how much does this cost?" She checked the price tag and gasped, "$50! Man! I'm lucky that I even brought $45 with me!"

"Hey, don't worry about it Serena," replied Amy.

"Yeah, we can chip in and help you buy it," said Mina.

"Ummhmm," agreed Lita and Raye.

Serena nodded and checked one last time for any dissatisfications. None. Everyone piled up to got to the cashier, and bid in paying.

As they walked out of the store, Serena replied, "No matter if I have an escort or not, at least I got my costume! Now, anyone up for ice cream?"

"I am!" cried everyone. They all headed to the food court, feeling really relieved and happy about the Marilyn Monroe outfit.

* * *

When Serena got home that day, she felt really great; her costume was picked out, she's going to be one of her favorite stars, etc. Now, the social trouble; who would escort her?

"Well, like I said, I guess it wouldn't help to go alone," she thought. "Unless..."

* * *

Darien was walking home from his college classes on the same day to talk to Andrew. Man, he thought again, just 2 more days! Wait...why am I still struggling to myself? Didn't I decide to go by myself?

Technically, but you know you want to go with Serena, don't you? his conscience answered.

Shut up.

You know you do! You've been somehow interested in her, hmmm? Haven't you wondered what it's like to hold or touch her? Or even kiss her?

Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!!! he screamed inside.

But he wasn't too sure; he's always secretly "kind of" liked her, but he never came clean to his feelings. Was he interested? 'K, now he's more confused than ever! Yes, he was curious; Serena was undoubtedly beautiful in his eyes. All of friends too, but none were close enough to be like her. The only person who'd come close to her aura would be her friend... what was it...Mina? Yes, that was it. They both look just like twins! But what worried him is that if he kissed her, what if her friends or boyfriend found out? Uh-oh; red-alert!

As he came close to the entrance, he didn't notice until it happened; he and someone smacked into each other. Guess; Serena? Boy, was he the Einstein today.

"Hey, Meatball Head!" he joked. He smirked down at her.

She stuck out her tongue. She definitely looked a lot better in this collision than the last one. Her eyes were full of life and beauty again, and that made him glad.

"Yeah, what do you want, Darien?" she asked, coolly.

He couldn't say anything, for once. He tried to ask her about the party, but he just couldn't.

"What's the matter, Darien? Cat got your tongue!" she laughed. Luna on the ground screeched. Serena looked down and cried, "TECHNICALLY speaking." Luna calmed down.

Darien stammered, "Well-- uh...umm...uhh...you see..."

Serena just laughed again. "Wow, this is the first time that I see you get tongue-tied! Cool! I wish I had my camera with me now!"

Darien winced and tried to redeemed himself. "OK, Meatball Head, what's your point?"

"To tease you, like you do at me!" she retorted. She made a face. Then she saw that he wasn't too happy.

"Geez, sorry, Darien," she apologized. "I didn't know..." Her face really meant it, and he felt a lot better.

"It's alright," he forgave.

There was a strange silence that made both of them uncomfortable.

In Darien's mind, he was talking to himself; should he ask her? What if she rejects? Would she laugh? Would she really go with me, after everything I've done to her? Am I desperate? How should we decide this? His mind showed more confusing thoughts, all going on at once.

Serena was trying to get her together. He's not that bad, she thought. Maybe-- I should go alone to that party. I don't want Darien to take me, or do I? No, not really. Wait, cross that; not at all? Right?

"Serena, this sounds really dumb, but I need to ask you a favor," he started. In his pocket, he crossed his fingers.

"You actually want my help?" she asked. She realized it sounded harsh and curt, so she then continued, "Why would you want my help?"

"Actually, you heard of that big fraternity-like party at the university, right?" he questioned.

"Yeah..." she answered slowly. "Why?"

"Well--, this sounds like a the biggest joke in your life, but..." he trailed.

"But what?" she asked.

"Serena--I don't know, but...would you like to come with me? Kind of... like on a...date?" he stammered. Please, say yes! he begged. Or at least show up!

Serena was shocked. He was asking her? Quickly, she answered, "Well...I don't know..."

Oh no, she's refusing! he thought. Well, I'm not surprised; she certainly has probably attracted a ton of other college guys.

Serena turned around and tried to decide. Maybe he's asking because he wants to be my friend, or is this a big joke? She spun back around and responded cautiously, "Okay, I'll go with you." She smiled a small smile, but it sure was beautiful to him. Darien, in other words, was completely shocked, but he had a waved of relief pass him. Now the hard part; is it true or not?

"Are--are you sure you want to? Why?" he asked.

Serena answered, "Why not? Darien, you may seem to be a jerk lots times, but you are a good person underneath, I hope. Part of you must be some type of facade."

Darien was internally leaping for joy. "You're actually saying this? By any chance is this a big joke for getting back me, for everything I've done to you?"

Serena seriously shook her head. "No. Any of this isn't a joke either, right?"

"Of course not!" he exclaimed. He calmed down and responded, "No. For a final time, are you sure about this?"

Serena nodded. She replied, "OK--how are we going to plan this? We have to dress up, correct?"

Darien thought for a moment. "Yeah." He stood silent for a moment. "How about this; you can pack your costume and come over to my place to change. That way, you can see who I'm going to be, and that'll save some type of trouble. Is that alright with you? Or do you have any other suggestions?"

Serena answered in an instant. "Well, alright. That's fine with me. Uh--can I--can I...come over a bit earlier than seven-thirty? I'll probably take a long time to change, because my outfit is...well, takes a long time to get into. When does this 50's fraternity party start again?"

Darien smiled, "I think at about nine. It won't hurt to be a little early or late. By the way, who are you going to be?"

Serena blushed rosier than ever. "Well...it's a secret. No offense, but you can't find out until the night of the party. Who are you gonna be?"

"Well...I guess it won't hurt to tell you, even though you didn't tell me," he replied. He continued, "James Stewart."

Serena gasped, "James Stewart? The James Stewart? That incredibly cute actor James Stewart?"

Darien nodded, trying not to blush. "Yep. Please, can't you tell me who you're going to be? I just told you mine."

Serena shook her head, but promised, "Sorry, but I can't. Besides, I haven't gotten my outfit ready yet. Maybe to you, the outfit that I'm going to wear is a little too 'wild and revealing' for my age, and I'm not going to listen to you about that. But, I promise you; I'm gonna be one of the hottest girls there. It's a surprise. You'll find out soon enough." She smiled, with still some blush on her rosy cheeks.

When she said that, Darien felt a little jittery and started to gulp. She was going to wear something that wild? It bothered him in an immature way about the specific description she gave. Do I want to know? I'd like to, though, to see how wild---oh, shut the heck up! She's only a kid, you know! he thought. To him, that sounded like a bit of flirting when he was talking to her, and that caused him to blush.

"Umm...OK, I guess--I'll see you later?" she stammered.

He answered, "Uh...sure, I guess."

They both walked off in their separate directions. But after a few steps, Serena turned back around, all aware of something; Raye!

"Hey, wait Darien!" she called out. She started to run back to him. He turned around.

"Yeah, 'sup, Meatball He--, I mean, Serena?" he asked.

"Oh my gosh, I totally forgot about something," started off Serena. "What about Raye? What would she think?"

Darien sighed, "I don't know. Maybe you should talk to her about it. But this is certainly fine with me."

Serena looked suspicious; "Why? Maybe you can take her instead."

Darien slowly shook his head. "Naw, that's alright. Besides, remember it's for only students attending to that university for any classes ONLY. She's not a student."

Serena insecurely nodded her head. "I'll talk to her then. Later."

"See ya'," Darien waved.

* * *

The next day, Serena went over to Raye's temple where the girls decided to hang out at.

"Hey, guys!" called out Serena.

"You're late!" cried Raye.

"Yeah, by only ten minutes!" retorted Serena. She faced her other friends and blurted, "OK guys, I need to tell you some good news. It's not too flattering to some people, but it's alright with me. Raye, I know that you'll want to kill me when I say this, but hear me out, OK?"
Raye nodded.

"OK," resumed Serena. "For that university party, I'm definitely going, right? Well, this sounds REALLY AWKWARD but, check this; Darien asked me to go to the party with him."

Raye was instantly jealous but she didn't get a chance to blow it off.

"Hey, you got Darien to go with you! You're actually cool with him?" asked Lita.

"Well, we wish you luck Serena and to have a good time," commented Amy.

"And to show yourself off, girl!" cried Mina.

Serena faced Raye. "Raye, I know what you're going to do, so you can do it now." She squinted her eyes closed, waiting for the slap of her life.

Raye just uttered, "Serena, I guess--you can go with him."

Serena snapped open her eyes. "Wh--what? Excuse me?"

"You may go with him," Raye repeated. "I know that this is for students only, and who knows? Maybe you'll actually do one of your HW assignments there."

Serena said, "Ha, maybe I can get my assignments done there. Aren't you jealous? Why aren't you?"

"Of course I'm jealous! To let you go out with my guy! But, I also want you to have a good time," replied Raye.

Serena slowly nodded.

Raye adjusted the subject. "So, are you really going to wear that foxy outfit for him, Serena?" Raye truly smiled a friendly smile, with no hint of negativity whatsoever.

"Ummhmm," answered Serena.

"Whoa, you're actually wearing the outfit in front of a cute college guy, with no coat, and the guy who you despise so much?" inquired Lita.

"Yeah," responded Serena. She stuck out her tongue. "Hey Raye, you know, Darien isn't such a jerk once you get to know him. I guess you're right."

"Oh, he is," answered Raye.

"Are you sure it's alright with you, Raye?" asked Serena.

Raye nodded with confidence. "I'm sure. Have a good time. But, give us all the details afterwards otherwise you're dead, girl!" She smirked.

Serena hugged her best friend. "Thanks, Raye."

* * *

On the day of the party, Darien in his apartment was getting ready. He showered and got out his outfit. At about seven-fifteen, his doorbell rang. He hastily went over to answer it. While he was walking there, he was thinking, okay, Serena's here. What should I say? Welcome her in, and then what? Well, for sure, she'll want a separate room to change in. Okay, NOW I'll be able to find out who she's going to be for this party. He stopped thinking and opened his door. There stood Serena, with a mall-like shopping bag in her hand. She partially curled her hair already; all like a pure waterfall of silky gold. She was dressed in her school uniform with a long party like coat in her other arm. She smiled, "Hi."

"Hey, Serena," greeted Darien, "come on in. You can dress up in that guess bedroom over there." He pointed.

Serena blushed, "Thanks. Oh, I talked to Raye, and to my surprise, she surprisingly said it was OK."

"Oh; alright," Darien answered.

Serena walked in first to the bathroom and strolled carefully to the guest room, settling her things down onto the bed.

"I'll leave you to dress up, Meatball Head," he joked.

Serena playfully hit him. "Shut up," she replied.

Darien chuckled and left to his room. Serena followed after him and shut the door most of the way. She started to organize her things for once.

Meanwhile, in his room, he easily dressed into his James Stewart outfit. He dressed in five minutes; then he put on his hat and plugged in his fake cigar. He put on some fake brushes of a beard, and he finally grabbed his fake rifle. He posed with himself in the mirror.

"Hey, looking macho there, Darien!" he complimented himself. He did a few more minutes of posing, and then grabbed his badge for the entrance of the party. He silently walked over to Serena's room and sneakily peeked in.

Serena was finally done organizing her clothes and things, so she decided to hurry changing. She slipped off just about all of her clothes except her undies, and Darien peered in right when she started to undress. He was certainly shocked at himself for staring at her almost completely naked, and was absurdly awed at her beauty. Then he snapped out of it and went to his living room, silently cursing himself for doing that.

"Man, what kind of a person am I, doing something like that, especially to Meatball Head!" he cried. "Still, I can't believe she has that kind of bodily figure; all perfectly curved and...oh, stop it! Man!" He continued cursing himself as he plopped down and started to read his physics book.

In Serena's room, she was struggling to hurry. "Why can't I hurry up? Oh well; Darien's going to be so shocked at what I'm gonna wear! This is probably going to leave him speechless. Now, after this; this I have to curl my hair a bit more to put it up in curls. I'm still gonna leave the buns on, too make it look more unique." She slipped into her costume in about two minutes, and she slipped into her knee highs that went one-third up her leg. She grabbed her coat as she went outside.

"Hey, Darien!" she called.

"Yeah?" he answered, coming out of his room.

"Can I plug this into your bathroom? I need it for my hair," she reasoned.

Darien tried to figure out what she was wearing. "Sure. What, are you going to be Sherlock Holmes or something?"

"You're way off, DARE!" she emphasized. She stuck out her tongue and went inside, shutting the door behind her.

In about twenty minutes, she came back out into her assigned room. She then completed in putting on her costume and applied some fiery red lipstick and other make up to make her a perfect clone of Marilyn Monroe. She was saying to herself again, "Wow, I'm actually going to be Marilyn Monroe! Hmm, that outfit that Darien's wearing is pretty cool; he looks exactly like James Stewart. He's actually pretty cute! Wait, what am I saying? He's not my guy; he's Raye's! Oh well, time for the big moment. Let's just slip into my coat and shoes to present my surprise." She did, and slowly went out to Darien's living room. He was sitting there reading. Serena tried to speak in a grown up voice as she cleared her voice. Darien looked up; no reaction first, but then gasped, making an inhuman shock voice.

"Who are you ?" he asked, a few moments later. "Are you still Serena Tsukino?"

She answered in a way different tone; more sweeter, grown-up, and sexier.

"Yes, but I'm way different in posture." She waltzed over in an attractive way. Now, her coat happens to only go halfway down her thigh, which means that some of her legs with the immodest knee-highs showed with her appealing shoes and alluring posture of her legs. Darien just couldn't say anything. He started to sweat and his heart started to beat faster. Once again he was incredibly overwhelmed by her radiance, now more than ever! Inside, he was thinking, "Man what the heck's she doing and wearing! She looks like a person who's a lot older than her age! But, she's so--beautiful! And--attractive! Who's her character?" He somehow got the feeling that he just was curious; he wanted to hold her, to see what it felt like.

Serena with her especially done eyelashes stared at him beautifully. "What, don't you want to know who I am?"

He wasn't sure if he was ready, judging by the looks of her right now! But how else am I going to know? he asked himself.

"Ummm...alright," he stuttered.

Serena turned around and untied her coat. She let most of it lose and then whirled back around, smiling. Then she tossed her coat on the sofa, showing her Marilyn Monroe outfit. Darien couldn't hold it any longer; he dropped his mouth open in awe, love, and major surprise. He couldn't make any sounds at all. All he could do was stare at her.

"Are--are you..." he trailed off.

"I'm the supermodel of the 50's and 60's; Marilyn Monroe," she answered, still in that grown-up voice. She placed one of her hands on her hips and one of them down at her sides.

He stood up, dropping his badge and rifle. "Wh--what! Man; Serena, you look-- you look-- absolutely stunning! And gorgeous!"

"You really think so?" she asked, back in her normal tone of voice. "Thanks, Darien. See, I told you I'm gonna wear something like this."

"Yeah, but you're sure you'd be fit to wear something like this for your age? You look like you're wearing the exact outfit that Marilyn Monroe had! And the style of your hair's like her's, 'cept that she didn't have two meatballs on the top like you!" he cried.

"Well, you promised not to lecture me on this!" she remarked. She stared at him for a moment and complimented, "I forgot to compliment your outfit. You look so cute in that! Very James Stewart!" She giggled as her cheeks started turning red.

Darien blushed, "Thanks, Serena." He glanced at his watch. It's about 8:25.

"Would you like something to eat? You know, before the party?" he asked.

Serena nodded, "Sure. I'd really like something to eat."

"What? You're actually not going to go crazy at the sound of food?" he asked.

"No!" she answered. "I'm not exactly Serena Tsukino now; I'm technically Marilyn Monroe. And don't you forget that."

Darien laughed, "Whatever. May I escort you to the table, my lady?" He offered his arm out to her's.

Serena giggled, "Why, thank you." They giggled all the way to the table in the kitchen in each other's arms.

Darien in the kitchen prepared several simple sandwiches, surprisingly with Serena's help. Then settled down in no time, eating and chatting.

"So, where did you get your outfit at?" Darien asked. THIS, he has to know.

Serena held up he hand, saying that to let her finish chewing. "Well, got this at a way cool celebrity store in the mall. Raye and the others helped me picked some ideas out, but this outfit was the one I most wanted to wear. How about you?"

"If you're talking about the store 'Celebrities and Their Prolonged Famous Outfits', I also got my outfit there," he answered.

"Cool!" she complimented. She thought for a moment. "Darien, do you have any ideas of what the party's going to be kind of like?"

"I'm not that sure," he answered. "The detail and theme is obviously going to be about the 50's and 60's. Everything must be sort of related to that."

Serena nodded as she and Darien finished eating in a few more minutes. She stood up and adjusted her shear. "Thanks for the snack, Darien. What now?"

He stood up. "Well, I guess we can relax for a few more minutes or think up of something to do until time passes. Up for any suggestions?"

She suggested, "Well, maybe we can have a little time to ourselves for the time being. Then, maybe we can chat or do something else."

Darien nodded in agreement, but neither of them moved. Finally after a few awkward moments, they split up. They both washed up and prepared themselves for the upcoming party.

"Hey, Meatball Head!" Darien called out. "You ready to go?"

Serena strutted towards him. "Don't you dare call me that again, DARIEN! Or should I say, 'JAMES STEWART!'" she busted.

"OK, sorry, Serena," he apologized. "Are you ready to go?"

Serena picked up her badge and coat, answering, "Yeah."

"Good. Come on," he offered. They both walked down to the garage of the apartment building and opened it.

"Hey, cool car Darien! Is it a sports one?" Serena questioned. He nodded. Then, just about when Darien was entering the car, Serena cleared her throat and pointed to her side of the car and door. Darien blushed and immediately rushed over to open it, letting Serena in, and closed it firmly. Then, he got in and started to drive.

At about 9:15, they finally arrived. Darien did his gentlemanly act again, and they were off. Already, the theme music was banging and people were already there; partying, dancing, drinking and having fun. They had to show their badges to get in.

Now, when they got to the party entrance, both of them showed their badges. But, Darien was a bit nervous. The guy who next greeted them was Marcus Tayama, a widely known troublemaker at the campus.

"Hey, Darien," he greeted, with a glass of alcohol. He changed his stare towards Serena. "Hey, who's you date? She's pretty hot." He offered his hand out to Serena, "Would you like to come in, Miss -- Serena Tsukino? You may also hand me your coat."

Before she could even reply, Darien answered, "Sorry Marcus, don't you even try any of your dirty tricks tonight. Forget it." They both walked in, passing him there.

When they were inside, Serena nudged Darien, "Darien, what was that all about? He seems OK."

Darien looked concerned down at her and responded, "Serena, there's something you have to know about Marcus Tayama. He's not a really good guy to know. He's a big troublemaker, mostly to girls. He pulls pranks, does some drugs, and other types of mean stuff. Please, take my word for it; don't get near him. I'm only saying this for your safety."

Serena looked surprised, but also took his word for it. "O--kay, I guess."

The couple walked to a table and sat down. Serena was noticeably taking off her coat, where other college guys were staring at her, whistling. Internally, she was blushing deeply, while Darien was awed again by her actions. She placed her coat on her chair and sat down. In a moment later, Darien asked, "Hey, Serena-- would you like to dance?"

Marilyn Monroe's clone stared up at him, surprised. This was a slow dance song, so she wasn't sure. Finally she agreed in her grown-up voice again, "Of course." She held out her hand, and James Stewart took it (first putting down his things). They waltzed over to the dance floor and held each other closely.

Darien was thinking, Oh gosh, I'm actually dancing with her! She actually isn't klutzing out as usual. Oh, this feels really weird, but right somehow. I love this scent of her's; fresh roses! Hmmm...

Serena was thinking, Man, I'm actually touching Darien! The same one who's always annoyed me! But, he's actually a cool dancer; he's so gentle and comforting! Gosh, I feel so comforted here...

Both of them almost didn't realize that the music was over and moving on to the next song. They unhanded each other and looked into each other's eyes.

"Gosh, I didn't know that you were such a good dancer, Darien," she complimented. "That was fun."

"Yeah, same here, Serena," he answered. He dashingly smiled.

She smiled back. The next song "It's Not Unusual" was starting to play. Serena offered her hand appealingly to him, where he took it and they both started spinning rapidly. Serena halted, "Darien, wait a minute. Something's a bit too hot. Guess I need to take it off." She released herself from Darien's hand, and stripped off her shear, showing revealing only the swimsuit-style like part of the outfit. Darien gasped, but quickly redeemed himself as he and heard saw Marcus whistle, probably staring at Serena's butt. Darien glared back, which seemed to cause Marcus to unhesitantly turn somewhere else. He went back to dancing with Serena. He just couldn't take his eyes off her; nor can he concentrate. All he was doing was purely dancing with her, having one of the best times of his life. After the music was over, they were both exhausted and sat back down at their table.

"Man, did you see my moves on that dance!" cried Serena. "I had to practically use all of strength to have that much fun, but it was worth it." She coughed. "Wow, am I thirsty." She grabbed a bottle of apple cider and popped open the lid, pouring some into her glass and then Darien's glass. She held it up. "Cheers, to the party of our lives so far."

Darien laughed as he agreed, "Cheers!" They clanked glasses and drank it.

Unexpectedly without Darien noticing, Marcus tapped on Serena's shoulder. She swirled around, startled.

"Hey, Serena, hot dancing you just did," he complimented. "May I have this dance, Miss Monroe?" Out of his eye, he caught Darien giving him a very jealous and angered look, but he didn't care. Marcus offered his hand, and Serena slowly took it. They stepped onto the dance floor and started to dance. She looked at Darien insecurely with her face showing the expression, "I'm sorry." Darien looked sad and suspicious at first but loosened up.

Marilyn and Marcus were dancing very closely holding on to each other. She tried to smile at Marcus, but somehow she couldn't really well. Marcus however, was staring at ALL of her.

Darien was thinking, "Man, why didn't Serena take my word about him?"

Because she likes him and not you.

Oh, shut up!

You really want to dance the night away with her, don't you?

Maybe...

See! Now that you're gotten to dance with her, you want to kiss her, right? Aren't you just raging with jealousy?

That's not true! Is it?

IS IT?

Oh great, Marcus has his hands all over her! He shouldn't be holding onto her body, or even that close to her! Wait; why am I staring at her body?

Because you're in love with her.

Am not!

Am too!

Stop it, you damn conscience!

Well, who DO you like?

Well...no one exactly at the moment.

Oh come on, you know you don't like Raye not as near as much as you like her!

Yeah right.

Come on, admit it!

What's to admit?

Don't play dumb; you've been in love with her ever since you saw her, correct?

I don't remember!

How can't you remember something as important as that? Admit it; just admit it.

I told you, there's nothing to admit!

What, would Raye seem more appealing to you in that outfit, or her?

Well, there's not much difference, I guess...

Oh, admit it will you! To you, nothing would be as nearly as beautiful as Serena!

Hey, you're wrong; her blonde friend beauty queen is like a twin to Serena!

Yeah, but you don't know her too well!

I don't?

Come on; before you leave, tell what a great time you had, and just give her a friendly kiss. That'll surely get your wish. You -- Darien Chiba, 19 -- then has finally kissed 14 yr. old Serena Tsukino.

Darien's mind kept arguing with each side about her; he couldn't even concentrate on anything else! He kept watching her, but Serena was a bit suspicious at his stares.

"Looks like your boyfriend is jealous," replied Marcus. He smirked.

Serena answered, "He's not my boyfriend! He's a friend. He treats me like a kid a lot of times, and he thinks I can't watch myself. He technically despises me, and so do I. And besides, why would he be jealous? He doesn't really actually like me too much as --." She didn't finish her sentence.

Then, the music finally ended. Serena let go and walked back to her table.

"You must have had a great time with Marcus," pointed out Darien. "Why didn't you take my word about him?"

"Hey Darien, he's not that bad once when you got to know him," answered Serena, gulping down a glass of cider.

"Yeah, but I warned you, he's going to act like the guy of your dreams at first, then he's going to start his tricks. I know; I've seen him work before," he explained.

"Darien, look," Serena remarked, "I'm a big girl now. I can take care of myself. You don't have to always treat me like a child, because I'm not one. Just knock it off!"

"Whoa, I'm only warning you because I don't want you to get hurt, OK?" he said.

Serena nodded and palely smiled.

The music and party went on, Serena and Darien both danced some more, mostly with each other. They were both having fun the whole time.

When it was finally about 12:30 a.m., they were too exhausted to dance anymore. Marcus did dance with Serena several times, and that caused Darien to be really envious and overprotective. Marcus came over with an unsuspected bottle of champagne, and set it on the table.

"Hey, Darien," he cried. He popped open the bottle and poured out three glasses, giving them to Monroe, Stewart, and himself. Darien slowly took it and replied, "No thanks." He tried to stop Serena, but she already finished her drink.

"Ummm! This is good! Hey Marcus, can I have another?" she asked.

He nodded and started pouring another glass. Darien whispered, "Serena, what are you doing? You're too young to even drink, or even handle drinking!"

"I can make my own decisions, OK Darien?" she reverted. She took the glass and gulped it up.

"Man, little lady, how 'bout your man pour you another huh?" he smirked.

She nodded, and tool another one. After that glass, she replied, "Darien, can you watch my stuff? I need to go to the bathroom and wash up." She poured herself the largest glass of champagne possible for herself as she left.

He nodded, but when Marcus was about to follow her, Darien grabbed the collar of his shirt and threatened, "Don't you even try it, Marcus! If you do anything to her, you and me are going to take to the ground. You're dead, understand?" Marcus in a terrified way nodded. Darien released his shirt and sat down, still eyeing him with suspicion. "And why did you give her alcohol? You know she's too young to drink!"

"Man, what the heck's your problem! You're always babying her! Plus, I'm just trying to keep the night young," he yacked. "And she sure is young. What a chick! She's probably just about the most gorgeous woman I've ever met!"

"Hold yourself, Marcus! She's only a young girl, a lot younger than you and me! Like I said, you do anything to her, you're dead!" provoked Darien.

Marcus just mumbled something as he left with the champagne bottle to the dance floor. He started to hang around and dance with other people, strangely with the bottle in his hand.

* * *

Time has passed (about half an hour). Darien stared at his watch worriedly.

"It's almost an hour later! Where's Serena? I hope-- nothing's happened to her," he thought. He was watching everyone else, particularly Marcus, but he lost track after twenty minutes of watching him. He couldn't find him anywhere in eye sight. NOW, he was worried sick.

"Oh no," he whispered. He finished still his first glass of alcohol as he thought about her. He has never seen Serena like today; all grown up and so gorgeous in this way; attracting lots of guys dancing with her. Now he was worried that her outfit has gone TOO far. "What if..." he started thinking.

After a few more minutes, he couldn't stand it any longer. He brought he rifle with him as he started to look for her. He knew that she wasn't in the bathroom; he waited there! He started to look for her downstairs at the food bar, dance floor, and private rooms. She wasn't in any of those places.

Then it hit him. Hard. Fear.

"What if--she's upstairs--with Marcus ? What if-- he's done something to her?" he asked himself. He ran up the stairs and hurriedly started to search each of the rooms, calling out her name. Darien was about outraged with fear when he was near the end of the hallways of upstairs, when he heard some wild giggling, little screams, and laughing. He even thought that there was some bottles clanking together.

Suddenly, he thought he heard Serena's voice in the room. He quickly ran toward the possible sounds, to a dorm room. He knocked on the door and called loudly against the musics, "Serena! Serena--are you in there! It's me, Darien!"

The girl giggles continued, but the guy voice paused.

"Come on, open up whoever's in there! Just open the door!" he cried. He rattled the door knob, and the door swung open to a shocking sight. Marcus was all over without a shirt, and on top of Serena! He lost it. Darien ran over there and knocked Marcus onto the floor.

"What the h--- are you doing! Get your disgusting hands off her!" he raged. He swung a fist and punched Marcus square on his face. He didn't give up; he charged at Darien, and kicked him, making Darien slam right against a nearby dresser. He fell, and was almost knocked out, but he wasn't; instead, he just lay there and watched. Something's--different about Meatball Head, he thought.

Serena (on the bed) on her knees giggled, swaying, "Marcus -- cuuuum' on; let's continue having some fun!" She waved the bottle of champagne around at him and smiled, taking some more drinks.

"Anything you say, Marilyn Monroe!" the drunk Marcus answered. He went back to her, and held her up to his sides. Monroe giggled; her outfit hairstyle now completely back to her normal meatballs. She and Holmes started to kiss very passionately; hands all over. He started to move down Monroe's outfit's straps, and she allowed him, thank goodness not too far down. He started to kiss her shoulders and neck, both of them now collapsed on top of each other.

Darien was furious. "Serena! Don't! You're being used! Stop it!" Not only was he furious, he was really jealous and worried as he watched.

Serena turned to Darien and snitched, "Get out of here, Daariiien! I'm a big girl! Besides, I can't leave my Marcus. We're having fun!" She shoved herself upward, letting her chest desirously (and purposely) land at Marcus's face; making him eagerly lie on it. She grabbed the bottle of champagne and gulped down more large gulps of alcohol as she moaned in rhapsody. She quit that, but she didn't get a chance to do anything else. Darien leaped on Marcus and smacked him with the hardest blow he could ever give. Marcus landed on the ground, all dazed.

Darien grabbed Serena off the bed and ordered, "Serena, we've got to go, now! You're drunk." He adjusted her outfit and guiltily forcefully slipped on her shear and coat on her. Her shoes were already on, and that made it better for him.

Serena tried to get out of his grasp and cried, "How could you Darien! You killed him! I want to go back to him!" She struggled more violently then ever, with Darien trying not to be knocked over again.

"Look Serena," he babied. "If we go right now, you'll be able to come back tomorrow, OK?"

Serena stopped battling and looked up. "Promise?" she pouted, like a little kid.

Darien nodded as she smiled. He helped her walk out of the party and to the his car, with her staggering. He had to hold on to each of her arms and force her into the car. He then drove in a hurry straight back to his apartment.

When he got into the apartment building, Serena was still acting really drunk. She laughed as she cried loudly, "Wow, were back home! (stumble, then got back up) Hey, pretty place! Shh! (she brought her forefinger to her rosy lips) Quiet; sleeeeping!" She continued to laugh and make strange sounds as they near Darien's apartment.

Finally, they reached there. He fumbled with his keys and opened the door. He saw Serena staring into his eyes as she smiled, "Wow, Darien! Has aaanyone noticed how gorgeous you look? You're one heck of a cutie! And you eyes; they're sooooooo appealing! You're sooo attractive, the most attractive guy I've ever seen!"

Darien looked down at her eyes as he steered both of them to Serena's guest room. He started to blush. "She actually thinks that I'm cute? No way; she always thinks that I'm a big jerk, and I am one. This is only her intoxicated self talking. Still..."

They both reach to the room as he tried to lie Serena down. "No!" she resisted.

"Come on, Serena, you need to lie down! You're drunk!" he rationalized. He tried again, but she pushed herself out of his arms.

"Come on!" he pleaded. He was getting impatient.

Serena giggled, "Not unless you come with me!"

"Wh--what?" he asked. He was puzzled.

Serena waltzed over alluringly and grabbed his shirt.

"Hey, Serena, let go! This isn't funny!" he cried. No use. All he could do was obey in her grasp. She yanked his shirt, pulling him down and falling on top of her on the bed. She pushed his head to her's, and kissed him.

"Sere--" he begged. Too late; he was already being kissed. Actually, he liked it as he went along with it, but he knew it was deadly wrong. He tried to pull away, but amazingly, she was strong enough to keep him down. Serena had no idea what she was doing. She brought his neck and body closer and continued to kiss him.

Finally, after about a minute of that, Darien pulled away. He jumped up, breathless and shocked in all ways. Serena just lay there, smiling and sitting up. She whispered, "Nice...." Her eyes closed. She fell back onto the bed into a hangover. Darien rushed over to check her pulse, but it was fine. He patted her head as he pulled the covers on her. He went to change and wash up. Afterwards, he went back to Serena's side to check on her, and to bring in a wet cloth to aid her. He sat by her side for about half an hour, watching her sleep. He couldn't deny how beautiful she looked in her sleep; drunk or not. After that time, he silently went to his room and fell asleep for the rest of the night.

* * *

At about 10:00 a.m., Serena dizzily woke up. She stared above her, but the room seemed to be circling in circles. She fell back, but tried again.

"Oh man, am I dizzy. Wh--what happened?" she thought. "Where am I?" She was scared. She forced herself to get out of bed, when she saw her outfit that she was wearing. She screamed in terror. "What am I wearing?"

Darien was already awake at 9:30, so he heard her scream. He rushed to her room and cried, "Serena! What's wrong!"

Serena was crying. "Darien! Where am I? How did I get here? And what am I wearing!" She tried to get out of the room, but she was dizzy to.

Darien answered, "Serena, it's okay! You're at my place. You need to calm down!"

"How! Did you drag me here or something! What am I doing here!" she cried. She forced herself to run, but he caught and held her in his arms.

"Serena, listen to me," he soothed. "Don't you remember? Yesterday night, we both went to that 50's party and the university together remember? We both had a good time. You were dressed as Marilyn Monroe, and I was James Stewart. You totally surprised me at what you were wearing, remember?"

Serena stopped crying and was silent for a moment; trying to regain her memories. She grabbed her head. "I--remember! We were dancing at the party and---wait! We were dancing? Together ? Wait, I also remember; I was introduced to this guy named Marcus Tayama, correct?"

Darien nodded, smiling.

She freed herself from his arms and stumbled around the room. She wasn't still walking straight. Then she started bawling again. "Oh my gosh! You told me not to be anywhere near him, but I did! I was--I was..." She was crying harder, as she fell on the bed. "I can't believe what I did! Did I have---did I do it?"

Darien frantically shook his head. "Serena, no! Of course not!"

"How would you know!" she cried.

"Serena, I was the one who dragged you out of the party back here! So you wouldn't get in any trouble!" he blared.

Serena calmed down. "Why would do anything like that for me? I thought you wouldn't care for something like this."

He shook his head. "Remember when we talked like a couple days before the party? I told you that. And besides, I was---um, I was..." He started to shrug and blush.

"What?" she asked, back to her normal voice.

"Jealous," he mumbled.

Serena was bewildered. "You were--jealous? Of that? Why?"

Darien stammered, "Well--I just couldn't stand to let another guy be with you. I know you've always attracted a lot of guys, and -- none of them were me."

Serena walked over. She grabbed her head in pain, but replied, "Wow. I never knew. How could you've kept that inside for so long?"

"I did. You've always thought that I was interested in Raye, right? Well, I'm not too interested, but she's a great friend. But one more thing, Serena; I don't know if you remember this, but yesterday when we got back here, you did something really strange but amazing," he specified.

"What?" she asked. Then, she realized it. "What! You and I kissed ? What!" She was surprised, but angry.

"Yep," he answered. "But--it was kind of--well, fun."

Serena stared at him. "What!" She calmed down and admitted, "Well, I hate to say this, but it was--fun, also. Not too much of it, though! It was OK."

Darien blushed. "O--kay..."

She walked back to her bed for the time being. "Man, imagine in all of the time we've known each other, this was one of the first times we've admitted our senses." She looked up and requested, "Darien, can you give me an ice-pack? I have a pounding headache. And do you mind if I stayed here for a while? You know, to rest and get back to normal?"

He nodded. "Sure. I wouldn't let you go in your condition like this. You're welcome to stay as long as you want." He left the room. As he did, she shut the door and started to find her bag that had her original clothes in. She rapidly changed into her bunny PJ's and lay back on the bed, wondering, Wow, I actually kissed Darien? He's not so bad; it actually felt pretty good.

Darien pondered, That kiss that Serena gave was really romantic, surprisingly. It actually felt great. Well, I accomplished my hope; I actually kissed her! But what will Raye say? If Raye found out, me and Serena would both be dead. He went back to the guestroom with an icepack, some snacks, and a drink.

Serena was astonished at she saw. "Wow, you didn't have to bring all this for me, Darien. I--"

Darien's smile silenced her. "It's alright. I want you to feel comfortable, and at home. Besides, an icepack won't cool down all of your headache and pain."

She nodded as they tray was set on her lap. "Thanks a lot, Darien."

"Anytime," he answered. He grabbed a chair and sat next to her. "You need anything else?"

"No, this is perfect. Thanks!" she answered. She placed the icepack to her head as she drank her cup of hot chocolate. After a first sip, she choked a bit, but afterwards, she chugged the rest down. She unanticipatedly slowly ate her food instead of wharfing all of it down. Afterwards, she and Darien talked but left her to sleep because she still had some of the hangover from last night.

Serena stayed there until two in the afternoon. Before she said her good-byes, she replied, "Darien, thanks for caring about me, and for being my date to the party last night; even though it didn't really turn out as you planned it. Thanks for everything. But wait! What will Raye say about this whole thing?"

He answered, "Well--I know that we have to tell her some time. Or, you or me. Truth is, one of us has to tell her, because if we don't, there's a big chance for screwed up friendships."

She nodded and responded, "I'll tell her."

"You will? really?" he asked.

"Yeah. She's my best friend, and I'll be alright doing it," she explained. She walked out the door. "See around, Darien! I'll let you know if something happens." She started to around and walk away, but Darien restrained her back.

"Wait, Serena! I--have to tell you something. I just wanted to say that...I had a really fun time last night, BEFORE the incident occurred."

"Me too," she answered. They turned around and went their separate ways, but Serena was sure that she needed to turn back around. He and she did, and ran into each other's arms for a big bear hug. Afterwards, they looked into each other's eyes. "Good-bye," she whispered. Both of them left, thinking about the entire recent incident.

* * *

Serena ran to Raye's temple, eager to tell everyone, but not too much to Raye.

"Hi guys!" she charmed. "OK, before you all ask questions, I'll start explaining."

She turned to Raye and warned, "OK Raye, like I said, don't get all hyper before I finish my explaining, alright?"

Raye suspiciously nodded.

"OK," Serena started, "so, Darien was 'nice enough' to invite me over to his place to change and everything before the party. He was all dressed up as thee 'James Stewart' and was ready before me. I finally was ready, and I walked into the living room in my outfit, and boy was I nervous! I tried my best--"

"What's this leading to, Serena? Something good?" asked Mina.

"Hey, I was getting there! Let me finish!" she ordered, smiling. "I tried and succeeded in speaking in my best 'attractive' voice related to Marilyn Monroe, and boy was Darien speechless! (giggling) He made this really weird and funny shock sound in his voice, not believing what I was doing or wearing. I continued bribing him, and I finally had the nerve, as well as he, to suggest showing my outfit. I turned around and took off my coat, and he was stunned again! You should've seen the look on his face! Then, we both ate a general dinner snack, from him the most polite I've ever seen him act. Then we got to the party, and this--Mina, don't start ramping on me-- REALLY cute guy introduced himself and was hitting on me, but Darien the Big Shot told him to butt out, warning me that guy, Marcus Tayama, wasn't a good person to hang out with. I kind of obeyed, but let's get on. OK--"

"Oh Serena, get to the good part!" smirked Lita.

Serena warned, "Not all of it was fun." She grabbed her head and wobbled around. He friends looked after her, concerned.

"Serena, are you OK? What's wrong?" asked Amy.

"Hangover," she answered.

"What!?" they all cried.

"You mean, you were drinking?" asked Raye. "You know that was stupid!"

Serena's eyes brimmed with tears. "Shut up Raye! That's the worst part, but I'll get to it later, if you'll give me a chance!"

Everyone calmed down and continue to listen.

"ANYWAYS, Darien actually had the guts to ask me to dance, and we did for a long time. Now, I can't believe that I did! Then Marcus came over, I think with champagne, and I drank two pleasing glasses. I left for the bathroom, and that's when it got bad. I wanted some water to rinse my mouth, but I was actually dumb enough to take anything from Marcus! Instead, he gave more glasses of stronger champagne to me, and he and I went upstairs. I--I couldn't remember much after that, because I think I was drunk by then. (weeping) Marcus and I--well, were kind of kissing. I don't what we did next, but NO, it wasn't 'that' thing. I think I remember Darien charging in there and he yanked Marcus off me, and dragged me back to his apartment. I couldn't believe it!" She was crying harder.

"Are you OK now, Serena?" probed Mina.

"I was really drunk, and I couldn't remember anything after that, except that Darien told me that when he put me to bed, I 'forced' him a kiss. Man!" she cried. "I don't know if he lied or not, but it seemed real. I stayed until today at two, and he cared for me, surprisingly. He's not that bad of a jerk, once you get to know him. Raye, I didn't mean to kiss him; I swear! I was drunk! Please, slap me silly, but please don't hate me with your heart. I don't hate you; no matter what you do or did." She stared at her friend.

Raye was really angry to the peak, but started to cry. "How could you! How could you, Serena! Why!" She started to bawl.

Serena turned to Lita. "Please Lita, kill me first. Raye hates me, and I know you guys are also angry. Please; hit me, kick me, do something! I can't stand to hurt one of my best friends!" She squinted her eyes closed.

Lita aimed, but didn't do it. "I can't," she answered. "And I won't."

"What?" Serena inquired. "Why? Don't you all hate me?"

Raye stopped her crying and patted her friend's shoulder. "We don't. At least, I don't. I don't and won't ever hate you."

"Wh-what? Is this a joke?" Serena asked.

"No!" screamed Raye, but calmed down when she saw her friends look at her. "I know that you didn't mean to, Serena. I hate to admit it, but you are a great person, and you would never in your entire life betray a friend. Your eyes and your soul says it all. I could tell."

"Well, how would you know, Raye?" asked Serena. THIS, she had to know.

"I read your mind and your soul," Raye answered. "From my powers, it seems that your soul is really clean and good. No matter, if you fight with me everyday or do something really stupid, you somehow always make it back up. Sometimes, you do that without us knowing it. So, that's why I'll forgive you. What about you guys?"

Everyone smiled, "Of course!"

"We'll always stick with you, Meatball Head," remarked Lita.

"You've one of the best and biggest hearts towards anyone, even to enemies," complimented Amy. "You'll always be my friend."

"Same here, Serena! You're one of a kind Serena, because you somehow make everyone feel special in their own unique way," commended Mina.

Serena smiled. "Thanks, guys. You'll always my best friends. Thanks for your forgiveness, Raye. It really means a lot to me. Are you sure about this now?"

Raye nodded with sincerity.

"Sailorscouts group hug?" asked Serena.

Everyone laughed and agreed, "Sailorscouts group hug." They all hugged each other with warmth and happiness. To Serena, she found what's behind that true face of two people; Darien, and especially Raye. Maybe they're going to have different perspectives of her from now on; because she already has found their's.
