MIND OVER MATTER Part 3

By Arthur

Lavender Town…

Ash and friends stood at the gates to the Pokemon Tower. “Are you going in there?” Misty asked in disbelief. “Yep.” He

responded. “But the last time we were in there we were attacked by the ghost Pokemon who live here.” Recalled Brock. “But

wouldn't they be friendly if they followed you last time?” asked Christine. “How do you know that? You weren't with us.”

Misty inquired. “Brock told me that when you guys left here, a Haunter followed and helped Ash win a Marsh Badge.” Christine explained. Then Ash put his hand with the symbol on it (his left hand) on the doors to the tower and closed his eyes. He started

to glow blue. “Whaaaa?!?” exclaimed Misty, recognizing the aura of psychic energy around Ash. The doors exploded and

everyone ducked for cover. When the smoke cleared, Ash stood there with his eyes glowing red. He then walked into the

tower. “Hey Ash!” called Brock. “Wait for us!” shouted Misty. The group followed him inside.

Ash?…

When the group assembled inside, Ghastly, Haunter, and Gengar stood blocking Ash's path. “Watch out Ash! Ghost Pokemon

are very powerful.” Warned Brock. “Yes, why don't you run away in fear little boy?” taunted Gengar. “You can talk?”

exclaimed Christine. “Get out of my way.” Ash said coldly. “Make us.” Challenged Haunter. With that, the three ghosts

launched a group confusion attack, knocking Ash flat on his back. Suddenly, Ash's eyes flared red. Ash glowed and teleported

out of sight. “Where'd he go?” wondered Ghastly. Then Ash teleported back into the room emitting a dark blue corona. “I said

GET OUT OF MY WAY!!!” boomed Ash. His eyes turned a blood red. Then, Ash's blue corona began to fill with red,

purple, and black streaks. His field began to distort everyone's view of Ash as the energies surrounding him twisted ands

strained against the immense force pulling them together. Ash pointed his fist at the ghosts. He opened his palm. The eye on his

hand slowly opened. Then, with a high-pitched screech, all of the energy surrounding Ash was channeled through his hand and

out at the ghosts. “Dispel!” he shouted. There was a blinding flash of light. When the light dissipated, the ghosts were nowhere

to be seen. “What awesome power!” exclaimed Brock. “Ash?” worried Misty. Ash had lowered his hand and was staring at

the safe that the ghosts had left behind. “ASH!!!” shouted Misty. It was no use, he was too far gone to hear her. He ran over

to the safe. He put his hand on the shell and his hand started to glow. Then, the safe shattered, leaving another purple orb with a

strange eye on it. He picked it up in his right hand. After the stone disappeared, everyone noticed the closed eye on Ash's right

hand. Then, a projection of Sabrina appeared. But this time, she didn't smile or congratulate him. Instead, her eyes glowed a

fiery red and talked with Ash telepathically. When they stopped and Sabrina disappeared, the group ran over to him. “Are you

okay?” Misty asked, a look of worry in her eyes. “Do you remember a cave near Cerulean City?” he asked her. “Yeah, but

what does that have to do with anything?” she responded. “That's the Forbidden Cave. No one's been inside for years.” “Until

now…” said Ash, trailing off. “We must go there. The end of my journey is there.” “I don't suppose we have a choice.”

Submitted Christine. “Ash, we're going to be killed in there!” Misty shouted at him. “Don't you care?” “The events have been

set into motion. I must see this through.” He said distractedly. “The fate of me and my friends depend on my actions.” “Why?

What is it?” she cried. “What's in the cave?” Ash turned around to gaze off in the direction of Cerulean City. “Him.” He said.

Who is this mysterious figure in the cave? Will Ash become just like Sabrina used to be, a psychic terror with no

emotion? Will Sabrina and Ash tell everyone the truth? All of the answers in the action-packed conclusion of MIND OVER MATTER.
